Stouts Hill is a Country House Holiday Resort, a castellated Strawberry Hill Gothic mansion, sympathetically restored with superb interiors. It is located in the South Cotswolds in the heart of England, with a twenty-seven acre parkland setting including two rose gardens and a three acre lake for fishing.

It will be a pleasure to welcome you and your guests to Stouts Hill Resort set in these idyllic, tranquil & peaceful surroundings. We pride ourselves in operating a green policy, so your visit here will be safe and environmentally friendly. Every room is tastefully furnished and carefully prepared, and each high quality apartment hosts one or two bedrooms with sitting room, TV, VCR & DVD player, telephone, well equipped kitchen, and one or two bath/shower rooms.

There are extensive gardens, parkland and a lake for fishing in this beautiful & relaxing setting.

magnificent fireplaceThere is a Hall, Lounge and octagonal Drawing Room in the main house, and an elegant Dining Room for dinner served most Wednesdays and for private use at other times.

Leisure facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Jacuzzi, games rooms with snooker tables, table tennis and air hockey, two nine hole courses for putting and pitch and putt, tennis court, croquet lawn and indoor badminton court.

The present Stouts Hill house was built about 1743 to a design by William Halfpenny.

Uley has a past rich in history and magnificent views over many counties.

The area of England now known as The Cotswolds has been occupied since at least the Iron Age (c 800 BC), the Romans (45 AD), the Angles and the Saxons (406 AD) and the Normans (after 1066 AD).

These days, about 800 square miles of the Cotswolds are designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Many footpaths criss-cross the region.

There are many picturesque villages nearby to visit.
